We highly encourage all “opt-out” eligible municipalities to attend, even those who do not currently have active members in MPERS. Training will cover information on eligibility requirements for membership, the process of enrolling eligible employees, laws pertaining to submission of the affidavit waiver, monthly reporting requirements and processes, and a brief overview of what benefits employees are entitled to with their membership in the system.

This will be a great opportunity to ask questions and learn how to handle different scenarios regarding enrollment and monthly reporting.

Attendees may participate in-person at the MPERS office in Baton Rouge, LA, or may choose to participate virtually via Microsoft Teams.
