It has come to our attention that some municipalities who mandate Social Security participation are unclear of their responsibilities with regard to MPERS under the law. Please see these FAQs for further clarification.

For the first time since 2008, MPERS has updated the Member Handbook. The handbook will be in electronic form but can be printed out. This will allow us to revise it in real-time, as necessary.
